Urinary tract infections (UTIs) are generally more common in females than males, but they can still occur in males. The symptoms of UTIs in males are similar to those in females and may include:
Pain or burning during urination
Frequent urge to urinate
Difficulty in starting urination
Decreased force of the urine stream
Blood in the urine
Pain or discomfort in the lower abdomen or back
Fever and chills (in severe cases)
If a male experiences any of these symptoms, he should seek medical attention as soon as possible. UTIs in males can lead to serious complications if left untreated, such as kidney damage and infection.
