Gold Extraction: Methods and Techniques
Gold extraction refers to the process of obtaining gold from its ore or gold-bearing material. Gold has been valued for centuries due to its rarity and aesthetic appeal. Placer Mining:

Sluicing:
Sluicing is similar to panning but involves the use of a sluice box, which is a long, narrow trough with riffles or grooves along the bottom. Water is continuously pumped through the sluice box, washing the sediments and allowing gold particles to settle behind the riffles. Heap Leaching:

The solution percolates through the heap, dissolving the gold, and collects at the bottom. The gold-bearing solution is then processed to recover the gold.
Electrowinning:
Electrowinning is a process used to extract gold from the pregnant leach solution obtained through cyanidation or heap leaching. In this process, an electric current is passed through the gold-bearing solution, causing the gold to be deposited onto electrodes. The deposited gold is then further processed to obtain pure gold.
