Ovulation typically occurs about 14 days before the start of your next period, so you can use your BBT to identify the day of ovulation and the fertile window leading up to it. You may also notice a temperature shift indicating ovulation has occurred, followed by a sustained rise in temperature for the remainder of your cycle.
It’s important to note that BBT tracking is not foolproof, as there can be variations in body temperature due to factors like illness or stress. Additionally, BBT tracking alone may not be sufficient for women with irregular menstrual cycles or other fertility issues.
In combination with other fertility awareness methods, however, BBT tracking can be a useful tool for women who are trying to conceive or simply want to better understand their menstrual cycles.
